Volunteer Helps Los Angeles Discover Its Place On Juan Bautista De Anza National Historic Trail

On May 14, volunteers will celebrate their heritage in a first-of-its kind event for Los Angeles’ Griffith Park — Anza Rides Again, a colorful re-enactment of the 1775-76 Anza Expedition. A volunteer team of equestrians will portray Spanish soldiers and their wives, depicting the arrival of settler families to Alta California.

In a bid to see lodging facilities established at Flamingo in Everglades National Park by September 2018, the National Park Service is offering a $5 million enticement to the concessionaire that wins the contract.
