Searchers spotted the body of a Virginia woman in a rugged area of Glacier National Park on Sunday, but weather conditions prevented them from recovering it.

The search for Jennifer Coleman had been ongoing since Wednesday, when she was reported missing. She was supposed to check out of the West Glacier KOA on Tuesday, August 31.

Early Sunday afternoon her body was spotted in a steep and rocky area near the Continental Divide, but high winds prevented airborne rangers from landing to recover it.

The search in Glacier started after the Richmond, Virginia, woman's vehicle was found by park officials on Wednesday afternoon in the Logan Pass parking lot. The search continued through Sunday, with the search area and number of search and rescue personnel increasing as the search went on. As many as 50 personnel had joined the search by Sunday.
