Grand Teton Lodge Company is planning to keep summer operations as close to normal as possible/Rebecca Latson file.

Summer operations for the Grand Teton Lodge Company are expected to be close to normal, though capacity restrictions are expected to be in place in some facilities, and changes could be implemented as needed.

"At this time, there are no anticipated impacts to existing guest lodging or camping reservations. However, please note that some ancillary facilities and services—including restaurants, activities, and retail operations—may have revised operating dates and/or times, may be subject to capacity constraints, may be not be open/operating, or may have other modifications or limitations in available service," the company announced Tuesday. "Additionally, turn-down service and daily stay-over housekeeping service will not be available for guests staying multiple nights."

The company, which operates Jackson Lodge Lodge, the Colter Bay Campground, Jenny Lake Lodge, and Headwaters Lodge and Cabins at Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming, says it is modifying operations to comply with Covid-19 guidance from the National Park Service and Centers for Disease Control.

"We have implemented extensive protocols across our locations to help prevent the spread of coronavirus, compliant with the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s Safe Stay guidelines. We also ask that, as our guest, you act as a partner in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all. These plans may be subject to further modification if necessary," the company added.

STEPS GTLC IS TAKING TO ENSURE GUEST AND EMPLOYEE HEALTH & SAFETY

  • Modifying operating procedure to minimize contact risks
  • Capacity reduction in guest and employee areas to allow for physical distancing
  • Enhanced cleaning protocols in line with recommendations from the CDC and other health authorities
  • Employees required to take a daily health screening - including temperature checks - prior to reporting for each shift
  • Employees utilizing masks and/or gloves where appropriate
  • Discontinuing stay-over housekeeping service
