Eastern National Seeking Donations To Reprint Publication Profiling Signers Of Declaration Of Independence

Share

Eastern National is turning to the public via Kickstarter for funding to enable it to reprint a 1973 publication that contained profiles on the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence.

The non-profit cooperating association would like to revitalize the design of the book and add color illustrations to further engage the reader. The Signers of the Declaration of Independence, originally published by the National Park Service, offers insight into the lives of the signers and encourages the reader to consider the sacrifices that were made by these men for the freedoms all Americans enjoy today.

“We are excited at the prospect of utilizing a new platform to generate funding for projects that enhance visitor experiences at national parks,” said Mark Vineburg, operations support manager for Eastern National. “Future crowdsourcing initiatives may also help us to further carry out our mission to provide quality educational products and services to the visitors of America’s national parks.”

Eastern National’s Publications Department has produced more than 500 books for the National Park Service, and the redesign of The Signers of the Declaration of Independence book will be performed in-house, with a scheduled release date of July 2014.
