Plane Crash In Grand Teton National Park Kills Two

A small, single-engine plane crashed in Grand Teton National Park on Wednesday, killing two people on board.

Jackson Hole Airport Fire Department, Grand Teton National Park rangers and EMTs, Jackson Hole Fire/EMS, and Teton County sheriffs responded to the crash near North Spring Gulch Road in the park at 12:10 p.m.

The two individuals aboard the RV7 aircraft were deceased when responders arrived on scene. No other people in the vicinity of the crash were injured. An RV7 aircraft is a two-seat, single-engine, low-wing plane.

Park rangers are in communication with the National Transportation Safety Board. Law enforcement park rangers and NTSB will conduct an investigation into the crash.

No further information about the occupants, where the plane took off from or where it was destined was available.
