Share

Like to cross-country ski and snowshoe? Then a job awaits you at Grand Teton National Park, where officials are looking for a concessionaire to run ski and snowshoe tour operations.

As specified in each contract, tours will be conducted on approved routes within the park. The new contracts will be valid for 10 years.

Guided cross-country ski touring services are currently provided by Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Corporation, Powder Hounds, Inc. (doing business as Rendezvous Ski Tours), and The Hole Hiking Experience, Inc. These concession contracts became effective on November 1, 2003, and will expire on October 31, 2013. The Park Service has determined that the existing concessioners are preferred offerors for the new contracts pursuant to the terms of 36 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 51.

Prospectus packages are available by contacting Intermountain Region Chief of Concessions Jennifer Parker at 303-969-2661 or by email at [email protected]. Interested parties may also write to National Park Service, Concessions Management Division, 12795 West Alameda Parkway, Denver, CO 80228.

The cost for a copy of the prospectus is $35 if delivered by Federal Express, or $30 if picked up in person. Checks and money orders (no cash accepted) must be payable to the NPS. A physical address and phone number must be provided to receive a Federal Express package. The prospectus is also posted online at this site.

Those planning to submit a proposal, and those who have obtained a prospectus from the website, should provide contact information to Jennifer Parker in order to receive amendments to the prospectus or any future responses to questions. Those requesting a hard copy, or who have been placed on the mailing list, will be provided with additional information specific to the prospectus. Information relative to this solicitation will also be posted to the NPS concessions website.

Contract offers must be received by the chief of concessions at the NPS Intermountain Region Office no later than 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2013.
